LOL, I know its not quite like Ive been gone for real long, but school got pretty busy for awhile there and then I went up north and didnt have access to a computer-or any electricity for that matter, good thing Im not a prissy girl
I just wanted to drop a little note so everyone knows Im still out there kickin. To be honest, part of the reason why Ive been away is that I came home to find out that an old friend of mine had been killed in Iraq. We hadnt talked since high school but I knew him all through grade school and up so it was a bit of a shock. Im glad to see he was making something of himself since he struggled a bit when we were friends. The last I knew of him had been that he had dropped out senior year but apparantly he got his GED and was planning on going to college after he got home from the army. Im just sad he wasnt able to continue with his plans after he started to get his life together. His best friend (since birth, the two still live next door to one another down the road from me) is also stationed over there and they would not allow him to come home even though his time is up in December anyway. I wont get into the politics of how I feel about that whole situation over there, but its been a tough week to say the least.
But I didnt want everyone to think I had suddenly dropped the board so I thought I would say, 'hey'. Hopefully school will slow down a bit and I will be on here a little more.
On a lighter note, is there any new AG gossip Ive missed in the past month or so??

I am sorry to hear that your live is a little rough right now.
AG News:
-The next LE is named Jess. If you search Jess you will get a few threads on her. An interesting thing about her is that her book does not happen in the US! She is also homeschooled.
-Ag is trying a new magizine called Imagine. I don't know much about it, since I haven't yet got one, but I am sure someone will fill you in on that.

Thanks everyone. I have to admit that part of the reason I got so upset was because Im not doing so well myself and blew it out of proportion. School is pretty tough this semester and the past 2 weeks have been the kind where everything comes at once and the death of my old friend has been quite a shock. I went to his showing tonight and am preparing myself for the funeral tomorrow morning. So to say the least, Im a little sensitive right now. Im usually not the overly emotional type so when stuff like this happens I have a hard time with it. Thanks for your thoughts though, I appreciate them greatly.

I just wanted to say that I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I know how it feels to lose someone at this point and time. My cousin was in the Army and was killed last September in Fallujah. If you need to talk, feel free to PM me.
Welcome back though!

Yes, you were missed. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. You and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers this morning.
My computer decided to quit Monday. I just got it back this morning so I have missed everything that has gone on this week. I'm playing catch up right now.

Thanks Alexis.
I have two quick comments to make:
Granted I wasnt gone for real long, but considering I posted every day, I thought a few more people on here might have missed me. Oh well.
BTW, thanks again Rebecca PMing me
Anyway, I WAS glad to be back, now Im quite frankly a little irritated.

I am extremely sorry to hear about your friend, and I hope you are doing okay; that is a very horrible loss.
"Anyway, I WAS glad to be back, now Im quite frankly a little irritated."
Please don't feel bad! I've been a member since the beginning, and very rarely is it noticed when I stop visiting. It's okay! There are so many members, it can be difficult to notice who is here and who isn't. Some of us (like myself!) do not follow all the threads. Without reading all posts, unfortunately, it isn't possible to notice when someone isn't visiting or posting.
That being said, welcome back!

So sorry to hear of your loss, Rach. Stuff like that is never easy. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Glad your back with technology though. And don't possibly think that you weren't missed... it's not terribly infrequent that members go on vacation/are away from the board for 2 weeks, everyone's just glad to have you back!

Thanks guys, I just wanted to say that the reason for the last comment, on being 'irritated' was because I was upset with the way the AG boycott thread was closed (on my respsonse) and the mods deleted that comment.
Im NOT irritated that few people responded. Disppointed maybe, but not irritated. And thanks to those that did. I appreciate your thoughts.
